About Me

I used to fly helicopters. If you've ever visited New York City and taken a helicopter tour over the Hudson, chances are you've flown with me. I also used to fly emergency medical services (basically I was a glorified ambulance driver). Before all that, I worked on super yachts. I made beds, cleaned gilded toilets, and laundered rich men's underwear. It was hard work, but I traveled the world and had a blast. From sailing San Tropez to diving in New Zealand, I've gotten to experience some pretty cool places.

Lately, though, I'm doing something even harder than dodging turkey buzzards and landing on highways. I'm raising two boys. Hard, humbling, and the best adventure of my life. My second love, though, is writing. And I steal moments to do it whenever I can. 

I currently live in Charleston with my menfolk. Now most of my closest friends are characters that I have long conversations with in the shower...which isn’t at all unsettling to my husband. I'm a lover of penny dreadfuls, dark chocolate, and stormy nights. If I could live in a haunted castle, I would. But I don't have a castle, so I pretend I'm not lazy and just tell myself the dust and cobwebs in my house are all for the ambiance ;)
